Kristen Hayford

Kristen is a California ex-patriot who decided to move to DC to make her way in policy.  She recently graduated from UC Santa Barbara where she focused her studies on Middle Eastern politics and culture, which included two years of formal Arabic.   Such interests guided her to study conflict resolution in Israel for a summer and intern for CAIR in DC, where she helped research, edit and write the first U.S. report on Islamophobia.  Coined the “peacemaker” by her friends, Kristen looks forward to gaining perspective on the other side of the political spectrum; idealizing the idea that both sides will cohesively work together in the near future.
