Scott Atherley

Scott is currently a PhD student and teaching assistant in the political science department at George Mason University. His main research interests include: the political safeguards of federalism, regulatory politics and bureaucratic regulatory strategies. Professionally, he most recently worked at the Council for Graduate Schools, researching factors that influence post-bachelor degree completion, among other things. He spent 2012 working with Altria’s government affairs team, researching excise taxes and regulatory issues relevant to the company’s products.
